Sarah and Mike's Christmas Wedding

Always a delight to be involved in Christmas weddings this time of year, and Sarah and Mike's wedding was no exception, a wonderful wedding!!

They were married at our local St. John's church in Keynsham at noon on Saturday, 21 December 2013 and later stopped off at the weir in Keynsham Park for some 'private' snaps with their photographer.

 






















Afterwards, we continued our journey to The Mercure Grange Hotel in Winterbourne where further snaps were taken at the bottom of the drive, before the couple joined their guests.

Summer Wedding of Beth and Andy

Our Visit to Iford Manor Estate on Saturday, 7 December 2013

We enjoyed our beautiful wedding with Corinna and Sam recently, collecting the bridal party from Guyers House in Pickwick where they had all enjoyed an overnight stay with breakfast and some serious pampering.

 Leaving a little later than originally planned as the pampering ran over, we travelled with all three cars to their local church at St. Marys in Whaddon, Hilperton, with the boys walking to church as the church was only two doors away from their home.

After the ceremony, we all travelled across to the picturesque Iford Manor Estate where we were met by William Cartwright-Hignett who had opened the gardens especially for our bride and groom to enjoy some photographs with their photographer Stephen Richardson.

 

The Iford Manor Estate - The house is built into the steep hillside, so terracing forms an important elementof the design. Peto was particularly attracted by the charm of old Italian gardens, where flowers occupy a subordinate place amongst the cypresses, broad walks, statues and pools. The current owners have restored the design and planting in accordance with Harold Peto’s vision and over the years, have transformed the area of the Oriental garden.

Summer weekends at Iford are filled with the delights of our speciality loose leaf teas, home made cakes and the tempting scent of freshly baked scones, enjoyed in the tea garden with local Jersey clotted cream and homemade jam.

Heart Radio 'Win a Wedding' Winners with the Mercure Grange Hotel in Winterbourne

We were absolutely delighted to be involved with the Win a Wedding 2012 Competition with Heart Radio and The Mercure Grange Hotel in Winterbourne, providing one of our single ivory convertible's as the couples wedding transport.

Richard Wood was announced the winner of the competition in October last year, and we began communicating with Georgina and Richard thereafter to provide the transportation to their wedding at The Mercure Grange Hotel in Northwoods, Winterbourne, Bristol on Friday, 22 November 2013 at 1pm.  

We collected Richard and 'the boys' his bestman and usher from their home in Kingswood and arrived nice and early in order for the groom to greet the guests and ensure everything was 'in its place' for the day.

Georgina looked stunning with flowers prepared by Tina from Tiger Lily Flowers in Little Stoke and her bridesmaids were in 'beautiful blue'. 

Their photographer Nigel Coles was, as always, a true gent and a joy to work with, and forwarded to me with the approval from Georgina and Richard, some wonderful images to capture the day, many thanks Nigel.
